MIB provides a wide range of data services for the motor insurance industry which help to detect and prevent insurance fraud. We work in partnership with the police and DVLA to help reduce uninsured driving on UK roads.

How to submit a data subject access request

To request your personal data, or if you are authorised to request data on behalf of someone else please submit an online request.

Frequently asked questions about data subject access requests

You can submit your request for personal data online, or via phone, email or post. You may ask for information for yourself or on behalf of somebody else if you have authority to do so. You’ll need proof of identity for all requests.

Data subject access requests submitted to MIB will be responded to within one month.

In most cases, your information will be provided to you free of charge, however, if the request becomes unreasonable or excessive, we reserve the right to charge a fee. If this is applicable, we’ll contact you when we receive your request.
