askMID Replatforming Information Hub
This page will be updated regularly with important information, key dates, guidance and support materials to help you prepare for the upcoming changes to askMID.
What's changing?
We're making improvements to askMID by moving the service onto a more secure, future ready cloud-based platform in Q4 2026.
The planned changes are designed to provide a more modern, secure and user-friendly experience. While the core service you know today will remain familiar, users will benefit from:
A modernised user experience
Improved security and user access controls
Enhanced system performance and reliability
A more accessible and responsive platform
Improved user management and administration capabilities
As part of the transition:
Each organisation will need to confirm an Organisation Administrator to manage registration and user access
Organisations will be asked to review and accept a new service agreement during registration in Autumn
Existing payment and subscription arrangements will remain unchanged
Further information about registration, user migration and training will be shared in the coming months.

What to expect before go-live
Why are we making these changes?
We're investing in a new platform to provide a better experience for customers now and in the future. Key benefits include:
Your new legal agreement
Although the service you currently use won’t be fundamentally changing, as part of onboarding to Check Their Vehicle, you'll need to sign up to a new legal agreement.
We sent three documents for your review ahead of legal acceptance later this year. Please contact us if you haven't received these. Over the coming months, we’ll share further information on the move to Check Their Vehicle and the legal acceptance process including how you’ll formally accept the new legal agreement.
Payments
There are no planned changes to customer payment arrangements as part of this move.
