12/12/2025 - Special Chief Inspector Samantha Wright was announced as the recipient of the first MIB (Motor Insurers’ Bureau) ‘Special Constable Award for Outstanding Contribution to Roads Policing’, presented at the Project EDWARD Parliamentary Reception.
28/11/2025 - On 26 November, nine West Midlands local policing areas targeted uninsured driving in a major one‑day operation in partnership with MIB (Motor Insurers’ Bureau), the not-for-profit that exists to protect people from the devastation of uninsured and hit-and-run drivers. The day resulted in 66 vehicles seized as they locked down Birmingham and surrounding areas.
10/11/2025 - As UK police begin a week of action to keep our roads safe, new hotspot data has uncovered the worst offending areas for uninsured driving, with Thurrock in Essex leading the pack.
31/10/2025 - This week, North Wales Police have become the first police force in Wales to join Operation Scalis, a UK-wide initiative led by MIB (Motor Insurers’ Bureau) to tackle uninsured driving.
