28/11/2025 - On 26 November, nine West Midlands local policing areas targeted uninsured driving in a major one‑day operation in partnership with MIB (Motor Insurers’ Bureau), the not-for-profit that exists to protect people from the devastation of uninsured and hit-and-run drivers. The day resulted in 66 vehicles seized as they locked down Birmingham and surrounding areas.
10/11/2025 - As UK police begin a week of action to keep our roads safe, new hotspot data has uncovered the worst offending areas for uninsured driving, with Thurrock in Essex leading the pack.
31/10/2025 - This week, North Wales Police have become the first police force in Wales to join Operation Scalis, a UK-wide initiative led by MIB (Motor Insurers’ Bureau) to tackle uninsured driving.
25/09/2025 - Police have seized 60 uninsured vehicles in just two days of targeted enforcement across Peterborough and Luton, during their second collaboration with MIB (Motor Insurers’ Bureau) this year.
