Looking forward to the next steps for our Navigate programme

Our Navigate programme is a phased approach to transforming our data services for insurers, the police and the public.

Following Navigate's launch in April we're now preparing for our next phase - the replatforming of MIAFTR in 2025.

The MIB Board will meet in late November to consider options for a delivery timeline that is achievable for all MIAFTR stakeholders. Those options have been prepared in close collaboration with MIB Board member organisations.

We're investing in our Navigate Engagement team to ensure all 250+ MIAFTR organisations are individually supported ahead of MIAFTR replatforming. Four dedicated Navigate Engagement Leads, led by a Senior Customer Engagement Manager, are adopting a portfolio approach. Each MIAFTR organisation will be assigned a dedicated lead to personally support that organisation every step of the way.

Realising Navigate's benefits.

One of the benefits of Navigate is it enables us to offer wider reporting capabilities.

We're pleased to have rolled out new Time To Supply (TTS) reporting to MIB members in Navigate.

TTS reports are now available within the Navigate portal for Motor Insurance Policy Data and we've shared a new guide to support users. Navigate is now in BAU and we've worked to develop new TTS reporting for our members.

In the past, a full TTS report was only available to members shortly after month end. For those who wanted it, an additional mid-month position was provided but no formal reporting could be shared to support this.

The new TTS reports, beginning with the full month of September and mid-month October are now available. Work to develop fleet and commercial vehicle TTS reporting will follow.

Industry Data Working Group reaches key milestone

Thank you to members of our Industry Data Working Group for their continued work in helping to improve the quality of information available for all Navigate users.

The group has now reached a significant milestone in our work to develop and roll out new governance for improving data quality across the MIB's data services.

There are around 40 million live policies in Navigate and we have run 1.5 billion data quality checks against them.

With the working group having already established the most important data elements and the associated reporting rules, we have now generated the first custom data quality reports for each working group member.

Working group members will review the reports within their own businesses. They'll consider the scale of exceptions and level of effort needed to drive improvement for their own organisation and across the industry. The Working Group will now consider next steps for publishing reports more widely.
