As we begin designing the modern platform we need for the future, it's more important than ever that we continue to work together. Here's a quick overview of what we're working on and how you can join us in shaping this next chapter.
Starting with MID and MIAFTR, together with our members, we have developed the first part of the MIB Product Roadmap to guide and inform the future of our services.
If you missed the last update, you can learn more about what has been achieved so far and how the changes will benefit your organisation in our July edition of Engage.
To avoid unnecessary costs and make sure we deliver the solution our members need, we're now working on some final refinements to the requirements ready to share with potential technology partners. We expect to be able to confirm our technology partner by the end of 2021 following approval from the MIB Board in November.
Bringing together organisations from across the insurance industry, we have also shared the latest requirements with a small group of our members and we are pleased to see that the feedback has been positive:
"A very comprehensive document and vision."
"A single data store is the right approach."
"The approach is clear and easy to understand."
Here's what we're working towards
As we move away from defining the vision to the technical challenge of designing and building the solution, it's vital that we continue to work together to share our collective knowledge and expertise. And so, in October 2021, we are looking for volunteers who want to play their part in shaping this next chapter.
Share your technical knowledge of how data is transferred between your organisation's systems and MIB's services.
Be part of optimising the governance and processes needed to make the new platform a success.
Help make the information that matters easy to use and access. Alongside our expert team our technology partners, your experience will play a vital role in making that possible.
Integrating new technologies and requirements into legacy and non-legacy systems presents a significant challenge. And so, if you'd like to share your expertise to help make that transition easier, we'd love to hear from you.
Share your knowledge of the systems and processes within your organisation that deliver claims and underwriting data to the MID and MIAFTR.
