We’re busy preparing for customers’ move to Navigate and we’ll be doing everything we can to prepare for a successful and smooth migration of industry data into Navigate.

Here's some of the processes MIB will be following prior to Navigate Go Live on 29 April 2024 for MID users.

Assuring successful MID data migration

Data migration is the process of copying the existing data from the current MID database and placing it into our new, secure cloud platform Navigate. This will occur, after thorough testing, during our Launch Weekend immediately prior to Navigate Go Live on 29 April 2024.

Trial Runs before Go Live

We’re performing a series of practice Data Migrations - also known as Trial Runs. During each of these Trial Runs we’ll copy the data to Navigate, and validate that it has been processed, delivered and received correctly and that Navigate operates as expected with the migrated data.

This data validation will involve extensive testing and comparison of many different data sets and scenarios.

These tests will be conducted by MIB and our service providers only.

Customers will continue to use MID and will not be affected in any way during these Trial Runs or be required to do anything.

The real thing...data migration during Launch Weekend

During Launch Weekend, customers will not be able to change data in the MID.

The process of data migration will be conducted by MIB and our existing service and cloud providers; no customer action or involvement will be required.  Once we’re confident the data has been successfully migrated and is working as expected, then Navigate will Go Live.

From Go Live on 29 April 2024, all MID users will be able to access MID data via the Navigate portal.
