Navigate live for Motor Insurance Policy Data MIAFTR moves to Navigate 24 November 2025
Welcome to the hub for all the information you need about Navigate - the platform for data from the Motor Insurance Database (MID) since April 2024 and MIAFTR from 24 November 2025.
We've replatformed data from the former Motor Insurance Database (MID) into Navigate - our cloud platform with a unified user portal.
Vehicle salvage and theft data from the Motor Insurance Anti-Fraud and Theft Register (MIAFTR) will be moved into Navigate on 24 November 2025.

MIAFTR's move to Navigate confirmed for 24 November
We're pleased to share that following our recent delivery checkpoint, we remain on track to move MIAFTR into the Navigate platform, for launch on 24 November.

We’ve partnered with Wipro, one of the world’s leading global information technology, consulting and business process services companies to design and build Navigate - the scalable platform our valued customers and partners need for the future.
In April 2024 we safely moved data from the Motor Insurance Database (MID) and Motor Insurance Anti-Fraud and Theft Register (MIAFTR) will follow in November 2025. Navigate will hold data from both databases offering customers an improved single view, enabling better decisions and increased efficiencies. Our Navigate programme is about MIB investing in the technology to enable and prepare us and our partners for future technological advancements.
