Countdown Update 1

Navigate portal testing has now finished.

Thank you to the 350+ individuals from more than 200 organisations who’ve given their time to support with testing or joined our testing workshops over the summer.

Organisations that send more than 85% of the data into MIAFTR have completed their Navigate testing. That’s an incredible number!

And while you were testing, we’ve continued to run detailed internal checks - including performance testing that simulates a high volume of transactions being processed by the system. This helps us make sure that Navigate is stable, robust and responsive.

Your readiness roadmap here shows an overview of the activity organisations need to do to get ready for Go Live and our team's here to support you.

Getting ready for Go Live

There are a number of key activities that you need to be actioning this month, details of which have already been shared with your organisations.

Here's a reminder of those key actions. For support or queries on any of these, please reach out to your dedicated Engagement Manager or email the team at engagement@mib.org.uk

Review your MIAFTR Users

We know that over time people can leave, or change roles, and that registered users within a system therefore go out of date. So, the initial task for each organisation is to check that the details of the users currently in MIAFTR are accurate and complete.

If any changes are needed, your MIAFTR Management User(s) should add, delete or edit the user details within MIAFTR as appropriate. We’ll then transfer the latest user data at the end of October, from MIAFTR into Navigate, and therefore you’ll know that the right people in your organisation will have access to Navigate from Day 1.

Final Call: Nominate your Organisation Administrator

Every organisation - big or small - should have already nominated an Organisation Administrator ('Org Admin'), who’ll be responsible for managing their users of the Navigate portal after Go Live.

The Org Admin is an equivalent role to that of a ‘Management User’ in the current MIAFTR system - and for many organisations will be the same person again.

If you haven’t already, you can nominate your Organisation Admin here.

Review and Update Default and Alert Contacts in MIAFTR

If you’re an organisation that submits Vehicle Salvage and Theft Data to MIAFTR, you will have received an email asking you to review and update

The default contacts are displayed for any claims added to the associated Subscriber Code, and are crucial for users carrying out searches, to direct them to the relevant department.

Any updates to these contacts will need to be completed by 17 October.
Once you’ve completed this activity, please let your Engagement Lead know.

Training resources

We’ve built Navigate to be easy to use but we appreciate you’ll want training resources to help you and your teams get ready for Go-Live.

If you’d like to nominate a Navigate Champion who’ll support your organisation with training rollout you can do so here.

They’ll make sure your teams have access to the training materials, be the first point of contact for any questions from your colleagues and know how to raise queries with us for anything they can’t answer.

For organisations with a small number of users, we’ll be reaching out to you to confirm with you who the best individual is to talk to about training.

We’ll share our training materials, including guides and demo videos shortly giving you and your teams plenty of time to prepare. And our team will also be offering workshops and tailored support where needed in the run up to Go Live.

Need a hand or have a question? Our friendly team is just an email away at engagement@mib.org.uk - we’re here to help you every step of the way.
