We're ready to Go-Live, are you?
19 November 2025
We’re just days away from moving MIAFTR into Navigate and welcoming new users into the platform.
This is a huge milestone, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our MIAFTR stakeholders.
Over the past year, you’ve signed legal agreements, tested the portal and the new API, joined training sessions and webinars and kept up with all these updates! Your support has been invaluable, and we’re so grateful.
We’ve just had our final programme checkpoint and we’re on track to go live on Monday 24 November.
MIAFTR will go offline at 12 noon on Friday 21 November. After that, it’s farewell MIAFTR and hello Navigate!
We’re aiming to make vehicle salvage and theft data live in Navigate at 12 noon on Monday 24 November.
Activating your account
Thanks to the 45% of new Navigate users who’ve already activated their new account. If you haven’t done so already, now’s the time!
If you don’t already have a MIB Services log-in (for MIB Claims) or a Navigate log-in (for existing MIPD users), you’ll have received an activation email.
Remember, before you click to activate your new account, make sure you’ve set aside 5 minutes to complete the 2 Factor Authentication (2FA) set-up. We’ve made a demo video to help you.
When you’ve activated your Navigate account, you’ll see the Vehicle Salvage & Theft Data (VS&TD) tile in the portal with a Coming Soon banner across it.
If you’re an existing Navigate MIPD user, you won’t have received an activation email but should now see the VS&TD tile displayed when logged into Navigate. Do please check it’s there!
If you already use MIB Services as an MIB Claims user, you’ll see the new Navigate option in your MIB Services dashboard. After clicking the Navigate option, you’ll then see the VS&TD tile displayed in the portal. Do check it’s there!
Remember the VS&TD tile won’t work until we activate it at the point of Go-Live on Monday 24 November.
If you’ve not received an activation email, struggle with the activation process, or can’t see a VS&TD tile, do please reach out to your Organisation Administrator for support.
Our Go-Live Weekend
A reminder that throughout the Go-Live weekend ‘no news is good news’.
If things are still on track for a launch on Monday 24 November we won’t communicate, so don’t worry if you don’t hear anything until confirmation on Monday morning.
The schedule's here.
As you know, existing MIAFTR services will be unavailable from 12 noon on Friday 21 November. The Navigate VS&TD service is expected to be live from 12 noon on Monday 24 November. This means you’ll be unable to submit or enquire between those times because we’ll be moving data between systems and testing it thoroughly with a small number of customers.
To avoid a backlog of API and Portal submissions next week, we recommend you get up to date by 12 noon on Friday 21 November.
Existing Navigate MIPD customers may notice a slowdown when submitting or searching data during the migration process on Friday afternoon/evening. We’ll keep a close eye on this.
If any critical issues arise, we have scope in the weekend’s plan to address and fix them. If there are fixes that are non-critical, they will be addressed after Go-Live - we’ll let you know if we expect them to impact you.
We've compiled a set of dedicated Go-Live Weekend FAQs to help you.
After VS&TD goes live in Navigate on Monday, we expect a surge in activity. We have stress-tested the platform thoroughly and don't expect any performance issues, but our team will be closely monitoring the platform and we'll let you know if we see anything.
