Your programme update this August
21 August 2025

We've shared our latest update. You can read it here.
The update contains an important date to keep in mind.
As you know, the team is gearing up for our upcoming programme-wide checkpoint at the end of August . It’s a critical milestone. Our chance to take stock of exactly where we are, what’s left to do, and whether we’re on track to meet our November Go Live date.
We'll share the outcome with all our MIAFTR stakeholders during the week of 8 September.
Testing update
Thanks to all organisations who’ve been busy testing this month.
Organisations that send 90% of the data into MIAFTR have now completed Navigate testing. This is a great milestone to have reached at this point to show that you’ve confirmed to us that Navigate works for you as you expect it to.
And all 15 organisations that use an API to connect to Navigate have now finished their development and testing. In addition 14 of these organisations have now confirmed and tested their Portal access as a backup to the API.
And while you’ve been testing, we’ve continued to run detailed internal checks – including performance testing that simulates real-world traffic using live data. This helps us make sure the portal’s stable, responsive, and ready for anything.
As we’ve shared in previous updates, we’re also planning to robustly test both VS&TD and MIPD functionality side by side in Navigate to ensure MIPD continues to run smoothly once both applications are combined.
Testers! An important reminder on testing outside your allocated testing window
If you access the Navigate portal test environment outside your allocated VS&TD testing window you may encounter issues that you’re not expecting due to planned updates we’re making.
While we appreciate you may find additional testing or familiarisation useful please be aware that accessing the environment outside your scheduled window may expose you to these issues.
During these times, our Navigate team may be performing activities such as:
- Deployments or configuration changes
- Performance testing or load simulations
- Routine maintenance or updates
These activities can affect the availability, stability, and performance of the test environment but this is expected and planned.
If you want to conduct further testing outside your allocated testing window, please let us know so we can work with you to agree a slot when the environment is stable and suitable for your needs.
