MIB's Police Helpline is here to help the police quickly establish whether a vehicle or driver is insured. If your enquiry is outside our normal opening hours or relates to a roadside stop that happened on a past date, you can do it online at mib.org.uk/police. We'll respond to your enquiry as soon as possible and, in most cases, within three working days.

Getting you the information you need faster

Many email enquiries require us to ask officers for further information before we can provide them with the answers they need.

The new web form lets you know exactly what information our team needs to respond to your query and to pass insurers' data protection checks. Your enquiry also goes directly into our systems so we can get back to you as efficiently as possible.

You will need to use your police email address, which we will also use to respond to your enquiry.

The web form will soon replace email enquiries, but you can start using the form right away.
