Enquiries via the UK Information Centre

Downloadable forms enable the UK Information Centre to deal efficiently with your request for information. 

UK Victims

 1)  If you are a UK victim of a motor accident (or their representative)  (all UK vehicles, accident in UK) please use our online system askMID to make an enquiry.

  2)  If you are a UK victim (or their representative) of a motor accident that happened with a foreign vehicle outside the UK but in the EEA please send a brief email to the UK Information Centre  information@mib.org.uk  and include:

- the country of the third party vehicle
- the Vehicle Registration Mark
- the date of the accident
- the country where accident took place
- your contact details 

 3)  If you are a UK victim (or their representative) of a motor accident that happened with a foreign vehicle inside the UK please contact the Green Card section at MIB.

Non-UK Victims

 4)  If you are a non-UK victim (or their representative) of a motor accident that happened outside your own EEA country and the 3rd party is a UK vehicle just send a brief email to the UK Information Centre ukinfocentre@mib.org.uk and include:

- the Vehicle Registration Mark of the UK vehicle
- the date of the accident
- the country where accident took place
- your contact details 

5) If you are a non-UK victim (or their representative) of a motor accident that happened outside your own EEA country and the 3rd party is a UK vehicle - and you know  the name of the UK Insurer, then use www.midis.org.uk  (and select the second option). This will enable you determine the claims representative in your country, for the UK Insurer in question.   

Individuals' Request for Information

 6)  If you are a UK individual who wants to know details about their own current or previous insurance policies please see:

7)  If you are an individual who wants to know what data is held on the MID about you, using the Data Subject Access Request right of the Data Protection Act 1998 please see:

Note – it may be an offence under the Data Protection Act 1998 to attempt to obtain information without reasonable cause.
