The MIB are very pleased to see a major insurer like Norwich Union taking a lead in the removal of DOC cover. We believe it is an impediment to the efficient use of the MID and is regularly abused by some drivers. The MIB frequently see examples of drivers who acquire a cheap low rated car which they insure and then use the DOC cover to drive other much more powerful vehicles which are allegedly owned by partners or friends and are not insured.
