John started in the MIB in November 2001 as a management consultant to deal with some specific challenges in the IS area. In July 2002 John accepted a permanent position as head of IS. 

John had previously worked for over 25 years mainly in the IS department of General Accident performing many project and line management roles ultimately becoming systems development manager. He then worked with IBM in IS planning and project management. Whilst at IBM he successfully completed an MBA at the Open University.

John’s responsibilities at MIB include managing IT service delivery, management information provision and project development and support. He is also a member of the Executive Management Team.
