Byford Louisy is a chartered accountant who joined MIB as finance director and company secretary in March 1998.  He organises and sits on many committees for MIB, including the Audit Committee, Levy Committee, Strategy Group and Staff HR Group.  He is chairman of the Pension Fund Trustees and secretary to both MIB and MIIC Boards.  He also sits on the Council of Bureaux Audit Committee and acts as company secretary for the Insurance Database Services Limited (IDSL) Board.

He is responsible for payroll, pensions administration, audit control, and facilities management, as well as all accounting and budget matters relating to MIB and MIIC.
