Kaushik joined the MIB as Compliance Officer in 2004 and was subsequently promoted to the Audit and Compliance Manager role in 2006, before becoming head of department in 2009.

Kaushik's key areas of responsibility include risk management, business continuity, data protection and complaints management. Kaushik also heads MIB's Technical section which oversees the claim handling philosophy, policies, technical standards and strategies by which MIB claims are managed.

In addition, Kaushik leads MIB's Corporate Social Responsibility team which manages MIB's efforts to be a responsible business and integrate socially responsible behaviour into MIB's core values, and all its activities.

Kaushik has over 17 years experience in audit, risk and compliance management. This includes six years in the Information Risk Management department at KPMG and six years in the public sector focusing on project management and data protection compliance.

Kaushik is a Registered PRINCE2 Practitioner, holds a Law degree and completed his Law Society Finals before starting his career in audit, risk and compliance.
